Mode Landscaping Warranty
We stand behind our work and materials by providing warranty coverage tailored to the specific requirements of your landscape installation. Please refer to the details below for the duration and coverage of each component.
The installation of a new landscape can be an expensive undertaking. It is imperative that the work performed adheres to the highest industry standards to ensure the longevity of your newly installed landscape.
Follow-up care and maintenance provided by Mode Landscaping and/or the homeowner are equally important for maintaining the landscape in a thorough manner. Mode Landscaping’s warranty is intended to assure the client that all work completed will be done in the most professional manner.
Warranty claims or repairs will not be performed until payment is received in full for the original project.
Making a claim
To make a warranty claim, clients must submit their request in writing via warranty claim form to info@mode-landscaping.com within 14 days of noticing the issue. Mode Landscaping will inspect and assess the situation and determine if the issue qualifies for warranty coverage. Remedies may include repair, replacement, or guidance on corrective actions.
1. Workmanship Warranty
1.1. This warranty covers any defects in materials and all installation and workmanship with the exceptions stated below. (Refer to 1.3)
1.2. This warranty runs for a period of two (2) years from the time of substantial completion of the landscape. (defined as the point when the major components of the landscape project have been installed and are functional, pending minor touch-ups or adjustments.)
1.3. Exempt from warranty:
• Fading, warping or discolouration of materials or product used.
• Efflorescence in concrete materials.
• Settling of ground.
• Damage to landscape due to improper use, neglect, vandalism, animal damage and Acts of God.
• Staining of any nature from outside sources, improper care, or cleaning.
2. Plant Warranty
2.1. Plant material supplied by Mode Landscaping is warranted for one (1) year from the date of acceptance, provided that the client follows proper maintenance practices, including but not limited to watering, and monitoring for signs of plant stress. Detailed maintenance instructions are provided in the Mode Care Guide, which clients are expected to reference and follow. Failure to adhere to these guidelines may void the warranty. This warranty is subject to the exceptions stated below. (Refer to 2.3)
2.2. This warranty is limited to a one-time, free of charge, replacement per plant within the given time period only.
2.3. Exempt from warranty:
• Under watered or neglected plants.
• Vandalism, animal damage or Acts of God.
• Any special request plants which are not hardy to our area as well as annuals and bulbs, or if the plant has been moved from its original location.
• Plants installed in pots or raised planters.
2.4. Trees and shrubs can show some stress immediately following planting, but normally they will recover quickly. Keep a close eye on your new plants. Under watering, over watering, insect infestation and lack of winter watering can all have adverse effects on a young plant. At the first sign of something unusual with your new plant material, contact us immediately regarding your concerns. We can then assist you with information to help keep your new plant material healthy before further damage occurs.
3. Sod Warranty
3.1. This warranty covers over seeding of seeded lawns and replacement of new sod installations with the exceptions stated below. (Refer to 3.3)
3.2. This warranty runs for a period of sixty (60) days from time of installation.
3.3. Exempt from warranty:
• Under watering or neglect.
• Vandalism, animal damage or Acts of God o High traffic areas.
3.4. New lawns generally fail due to improper irrigation coverage. At the first sign of browning please adjust your water application rate quickly, and contact us immediately regarding your concerns.
4. Lighting Warranty
4.1 This warranty covers any general defects in materials and all installation and workmanship with the exceptions stated below. (Refer to 4.2)
4.2 Exempt from warranty:
• Fading and discolouration of materials and products.
• Damage to lighting due to improper use, neglect, vandalism, animal damage and Acts of God.
5. Irrigation Warranty
5.1 This warranty covers any defects in the materials and all installation and workmanship with the exceptions stated below. (Refer to 5.2)
5.2 Exempt from warranty:
• Damage to irrigation due to improper use, neglect, vandalism, animal damage and Acts of God. Acts of God include natural disasters such as floods, wildfires, extreme drought, or severe storms. Neglect refers to failure to provide recommended maintenance or ignoring warning signs like plant stress.
Certain materials or products may be covered by manufacturer warranties, which are separate from Mode Landscaping’s warranty. Mode Landscaping will assist clients in filing claims when applicable, but any manufacturer-related defects fall outside the scope of this warranty.
